FAQs

  • We collaborate with research and academic institutions, biotechnology companies, non-profit organizations, patient advocacy groups, medical communications agencies, healthcare associations, and individual researchers/clinicians. Our experience spans writing for healthcare professionals, industry audiences, and the public.

  • Q: How does the process work?
We usually begin with a 30-minute virtual meeting to understand your goals, timeline, and the scope of your project. During this conversation, we’ll explore questions such as:

    • How much work (if any) has already been done?

    • Is a literature review required?

    • What services are needed (writing, editing, illustration)?

    • What is the overarching message or goal?

    • Who is the intended audience?

    • What type of deliverable do you need (manuscript, policy brief, toolkit, etc.)?

    • What is the timeline?

If we decide we’re a good fit, we’ll request any starting materials (drafts, templates, research, or prior examples) to provide an accurate estimate. We are happy to sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) if needed.

Once the estimate is approved, we begin work. You’ll receive documents with tracked changes, constructive comments, a complete bibliography (if applicable), and/or organized folders containing high-quality illustrations.

  • Timelines vary depending on the complexity and scope of the work. Small projects (e.g., abstracts, short reports) may take 1–2 weeks, while manuscripts, toolkits, or multi-stage collaborations may require several weeks.

We’ll provide a tailored timeline estimate during our initial consultation.
