Freethinking. Thoughtful. Bold.
Mission
At Nordica Scientific, we partner with physicians, researchers, and advocacy organizations whose work is too important to be ignored. Our mission is to bring clarity, strategy, and conviction to the communication of complex science – transforming research into publications, policy insights, and public-facing narratives that make a difference.
We specialize in projects that others may overlook or undervalue: the freethinking, thoughtful, and bold science that challenges power and advances human, societal, and environmental health.
Vision
We believe science should never remain inaccessible to the public or silenced by politics. Our vision is to:
Elevate discoveries into peer-reviewed publications and accessible public content.
Turn evidence into impact by shaping actionable insights that drive policy change and improve health outcomes.
Empower communities through scientific communication that inspires advocacy, collaboration, and lasting change.

Impact
Each project we take on is guided by the belief that science should improve lives, inform society, and inspire progress.
Curiosity
Rooted in a deep appreciation for neuroscience, psychiatry, and environmental health, we embrace innovation and the pursuit of difficult, nuanced questions.
At Nordica Scientific, we believe that:
Healing the brain is a pathway to healing society – and vice versa.
Research should not only deepen our understanding, but also expand empathy, awareness, and justice.
True advancement requires courage, sustainability, and inclusivity.
Together with our partners, we strive to amplify science that creates lasting improvements in human, societal, and environmental health.
Where does “Nordica” come from?
Nordica Scientific draws its name from Lillian “Madame Nordica” Norton – a 19th-century opera singer from rural Maine who ultimately rose to global renown. Her boldness, brilliance, and unapologetic individuality embody the spirit we bring to science: innovation, exploration, and the courage to be heard.
Our name is also evocative of the aurora borealis, or Northern Lights – a symbol of hope and a reminder that progress still creates powerful illumination in times of darkness.
Meet the Founder
Lauren M. Kerr is a scientific writer and consultant committed to advancing research that addresses the most urgent challenges in human and societal health. With more than a decade of experience in biomedical and clinical research, she has worked across leading academic institutions, pharmaceutical partners, and advocacy organizations, collaborating with teams across the globe to bring rigor, structure, and clarity to complex science.
Raised in rural Maine in a close-knit family shaped by both resilience and struggle, Lauren grew up attuned to the realities of psychiatric illness, addiction, and caregiving alongside everyday life. Those early experiences became the foundation of her curiosity about the brain, trauma, and the environment – and her determination to help ensure that science in these areas is not only conducted with ethical rigor, but also communicated with clarity and conviction.
Today, through Nordica Scientific, Lauren brings this combination of rigor and empathy to researchers, clinicians, and advocates across the globe. She is especially passionate about amplifying freethinking, thoughtful, and bold science – the kind that pushes boundaries, challenges stigma, and demands to be heard.
